Objective: The objective of the paper is to evaluate the benefits and disadvantages of BREXIT
The paper will start by introducing the EU as a trade union and how the UK was one the strongest countries to be in the trade union.
• Following this, the paper will evaluate how BREXIT caused immediate harm to the U.K. economy based on the recent GDP and trade data.
• Theories regarding Populism and Partisanship will be showcased with the help of various examples like the left-right divide in the UK.
• The paper will conclude by evaluating the free trade policy theories to understand that even though BREXIT took place as the relationship between the EU and the UK was parasitic; there must be some underlying economic benefits in regard to Liberalisation, Global Value Chains, etc. NOTE: Be sure to express how it is “parasitic”

This paper is a straightforward argumentative essay. Within the framework of globalization broadly defined, you’ll choose a general topic, develop a manageable narrower issue within that topic, and identify both positive and negative aspects of your specific issue. You will support your positions with research, and you are encouraged to use class material, but are also required to use external sources.
Research Project: What are the voting patterns in Texas lately? Pundits, partisans, and even some political scientists have projected a Democratic Party majority for Texas in the near future. Recent election results call this into question. The research topic for you all is to examine the theories of voting behavior, with particular attention to race/ethnicity and class as key variables. After conducting that literature review, the task will be to collect a data set of recent election results in Texas at the county level. I would also like to see if we can find demographic data at the county level. Analyzing the data is step three. What do the facts on the ground tell us? The last stage of the project is to draw conclusions. I expect this project to be collaborative. You all can work with each other, but you are responsible for your own paper at the end of the course. Especially with the data collection, I think we may all profit from working together. However, the conclusions you draw from the evidence are up to you. Reasonable people can disagree. Especially, the theory you begin with will shape how you interpret the evidence. Again, reasonable people can disagree about the theory. The important part is being clear about how you are logically approaching the matter and how you are interpreting the evidence.
The rubric for the writing assignments largely applies to this project. We will discuss it in more detail in person. Whenever you have a question, go ahead and ask. I will clarify and guide.

Topic question: You are advising the President of the United States on a new preferential trade agreement that would reduce tariffs on wool imports to the United States. Wool is used as an input to a variety of different industries (textiles). Explain which groups are likely to be mobilized for this trade agreement and which groups will be mobilized against this trade agreement. Discuss how the distributional consequences for these interest groups may impact their ability to effectively lobby the government.
Instructions:
-Mobility for and against here means who are the supporters and who are the opponents of this agreement.
Examples: domestic wool manufacturers would be in opposition but the consumers would be in support of this due to lowered wool costs in the market.
