For this assignment, you will select a film from the list below and write a 3-4 page analysis, specifically
focusing on course concepts portrayed in the film. In your paper, you should:
• Provide a brief overview of the film (20 points)
• Identify the life stage prominently featured in the film (20 points)
• Identify and define (in your own words) at least 3 course concepts related to that life stage that
are portrayed in the film (40 points)
• Explain how these course concepts are portrayed/exemplified in the film. Is the portrayal
accurate? If not, what changes could have been made to make the portrayal more accurate based
on what you have learned in this course? (80 points)
• Be sure that your paper is well-written and meets the minimum page count requirement (at least
3 pages in length, writing is clear and organized, and there are no spelling or grammatical errors;
20 points)
• Be sure that your paper is formatted using APA format (including a title page, references page,
and in-text citations; title and references pages do NOT count toward the 3-page minimum
requirement; 20 points)

1. Reflection papers must be TYPED, in PARAGRAPH (not bulleting) format, and in 12 point
Times New Roman font. Your paper should be at least 3-4 full double-spaced pages in length
and must be uploaded using the D2L assignment drop box link (located in the Week 4 folder) by
11:59pm on Friday, June 17th, in order to attempt full credit for this assignment. Late papers
will be penalized 20 points (10%) per calendar day. No papers will be accepted later than three
calendar days after the due date.
2. Turnitin will be used to check all submissions for plagiarism. Plagiarism is defined as “The act
of copying any portion of another’s work and representing it as your own, regardless of whether
or not the work is copyrighted or in the public domain… simply reworking the text when the
concept is clearly lifted from another’s work can still be plagiarism.” Appropriate in-text
citations are required for quotations, paraphrased material and specific references.
