This task might require some coding in R for the visualization part.
As usual, the writeup should be one page, not including the visualizations. In your writeup, you
should begin by briefly explaining the problem facing the rocket engineers. Why are they
meeting with the NASA officials? What is the context of this meeting? Can this be
conceptualized as a business problem? Given the nature of the issue, what data do you think is
most relevant for making the decision?
Then, review the excerpts provided in Exhibits 1-7. Assess how well these presentations convey
the story to the audience. Does the analysis make sense to you? What about them, specifically,
makes them helpful or not in effectively conveying the important information?
Finally, put yourself in the shoes of an engineer at the meeting with NASA management, trying
to convince them to delay the launch. How would you make your pitch? What visualization or
visualizations would you present to present your case in most compelling fashion? Prepare one to
two visualizations and reference them in the text, using whichever tools you feel are best suited
to the task.
