Password management has become a significant issue in the digital age, as individuals are required to remember a growing number of complex passwords for their numerous online accounts. This often leads to the use of simple, easily guessable passwords or the reuse of passwords, which presents a security risk (Dwivedi, 2017). To address this issue, the development and evaluation of a secure password management system that utilizes cryptography to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of user’s passwords is necessary (Wang et al., 2019).The system should provide a user-friendly interface for users to store, retrieve, and update their passwords. The security features, ease of use, and overall performance of the system will be evaluated to ensure its effectiveness (Chen et al., 2018). The goal of this project is to provide individuals and organizations with a secure and convenient solution for password management, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches (Zhang et al., 2021).
Several studies have investigated the development of secure password management systems using cryptography. In recent years, there has been a significant focus on the use of biometrics and cryptography to enhance the security of password management systems (Wang et al., 2019). Another study proposed a secure password management system that utilized elliptic curve cryptography (Chen et al., 2018). Other studies have focused on the use of hybrid encryption and cloud computing to enhance the security and usability of password management systems (Zhang et al., 2021).
User-Centered Design- While current password management systems may provide strong security features, they often lack user-friendly interfaces and are difficult for individuals to use (Dwivedi, 2017).
Integration with Existing Systems- Further research is required to integrate password management systems with existing systems and applications to enhance their usability and effectiveness (Chen et al., 2018).
Security Evaluation- there is a need for further research to evaluate the overall security of these systems and to identify potential weaknesses (Zhang et al., 2021).
Scalability and Performance- There is a need for further research to address the scalability and performance of password management systems, especially in cloud-based systems (Zhang et al., 2021).

2. Design and Architecture: The next step is to design the architecture of the system, including the structure and flow of the system, the cryptography algorithms that will be used, and the integration with other systems and applications.
3. Implementation: The implementation phase involves writing the code for the password management system using the Python programming language. To implement the cryptography algorithms, libraries such as PyCrypto or Cryptography can be used. The user interface can be implemented using libraries such as Tkinter or PyQt.
4. Testing and Debugging: After implementation, it is important to thoroughly test the system to ensure that it functions as expected and that all security features are working properly. Debugging is necessary to address any issues that arise during testing.
5. Deployment: Once testing is complete, the password management system can be deployed to the target environment. It is important to properly install and configure the system, and to ensure that the user’s passwords are securely stored and encrypted.
6. Maintenance and Upgrades: Regular maintenance and upgrades are necessary to ensure that the password management system continues to function properly and to address any security vulnerabilities or to improve the user experience.
In conclusion, by following this methodology, a secure and user-friendly password management system can be developed to meet the needs of the users.
