For this week, you will be working on a paper; this paper needs to be at least two pages long, follow MLA, and have a Works Cited page. This is not just any paper, you will be completing a Rogerian Paper. The Rogerian instructions and the Rogerian video are posted under week six in Modules. There are four main pieces to the paper:
1. Catch the reader’s interest. Introduce the issue or problem. Mention the two sides, but
do so without bias or influence on the writer’s side.
2. Give the point of view of the opposing side, always in nonjudgmental language.
3. Address the writer’s point of view and reasons for supporting this side.
4. Find common ground between the two sides and then reach a compromise.
You may write your paper on ONE the following topics:
Should the state government ban capital punishment?
Should teenagers under the age of eighteen be allowed to play adult rated video games?
Should couples live together before marriage?
