Course Outcomes
In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:
•Determine one’s academic goals and personal mission statement for undergraduate education at SNHU
• Demonstrate ownership of one’s learning through the identification and appropriate use of provided learner resources and support
• Utilize appropriate time management techniques to support future academic success
•Identify academic skills, social supports, and motivation factors that contribute to future academic success in an online environment
Directions
Create an academic success plan by addressing the criteria below in the provided template. The template is linked below in the Supporting Materials section and has specific locations for you to respond each of the steps listed here. Read these directions and the rubric criteria.  Check to make sure you know where to respond in the template, and reach out to your instructor before you begin if you have any questions.
Note: The quality of your responses will be more valuable than the number of examples you provide.
Part 1: Time Management
In this section, you’ll complete a timetable, identify potential scheduling interruptions, prioritize your tasks, and then identify SNHU resources, social supports, and motivational factors. You’ll also explain how to take ownership of your academic success.
1. Create a schedule with the provided timetable that represents a typical week in your life as you are living it while taking this course.
a. This should include school- and non-school-related commitments.
2. Identify potential unplanned scheduling interruptions that may impact your schedule.
a, Some examples include last-minute appointments, procrastinating, scrolling through social media, or unplanned visits
3. Identify how you will choose between tasks or events that take place at the same time on your schedule.
a. Why will you choose one task or event over another?
4. Identify the SNHU resources, social supports, and motivational factors that will help the most with managing your time.
a. List at least one for each category (SNHU resource, social support, and motivational factor).
b. Consider why your choices are the most effective for your unique time-management needs.
5. Explain how you will take ownership of your future academic success by managing your time with (SNHU resources, social supports, and motivational factors).
a. How will continuing to manage your time with what you have available prove you’ve taken ownership of your success?
b. Consider how you can use these time management resources in future classes.
Part 2:  Personal Mission Statement and Goals
In this section, you’ll revise your personal mission statement and short-term goals and describe the importance of goal setting. You’ll also identify the SNHU resources, academic skills, social supports, and motivational factors specific to goal achievement and explain how they can be used together to be successful on your academic journey.
6. Revise your original personal mission statement.
a. Incorporate feedback from your original publish.
b. If your feedback indicated you didn’t need to make significant revisions, indicate how you might update the statement in the future.
7. Revise your three academic short-term goals you created in Week 4.
a. Incorporate feedback from your original publish.
b. If your feedback indicated you didn’t need to make significant revisions, indicate how you might update these in the future.
8. Describe the importance of setting goals on your academic journey.
a. How will goal setting assist you in accomplishing what you want in future classes?
9. Identify SNHU resources you will use to help achieve your goals and personal mission statement.
a. These must be different from what you selected in item 4 of the Time Management section above.
10. Identify academic skills and social supports to help you achieve your personal mission statement and goals.
a. Which academic skills and social supports will work best for you?
11. Identify motivational factors to help you achieve your goals and personal mission statement.
a. What motivates you to pursue your personal mission statement and goals? (This must be different from what you identified for management.)
12. Explain how you will take ownership of your future academic success by using SNHU resources, academic skills, social supports, motivational factors to achieve your personal mission statement and goals.
a. How will using the resources you’ve selected to achieve your goals and personal mission statement help you take ownership success?
b. Consider how you can use these resources in future classes.
